A few weeks ago, the Ready to Die (OG version) dropped. I must say like a million other hip-hop fans, I was both skeptical and excited to see what it offered. I was going to do this beat by beat write-up but my man and KTL contributor, JGilla, did a perfect write-up. Check out his editorial after the jump. And if you don’t have what we are talking about:

So… for the now 10 people that read our site, you know that I was playing host to Rosenberg this weekend. A gentleman and great DJ - that Rosenberg is. Alot of our talks were about either girls, hip-hop, food, and/or hoe-ass marks. One of the hip-hop discussions that we talked about while driving through the Bay was Jay Electronica. I let Peter know that I’ve been on the fence about him. I was put-off by the video of his first live performance but his production on “Queens Get The Money” changed my world. So although I couldn’t accept Peter’s invitation to go to Rock The Bells b/c of a wedding, I did meet up with him at the Afterparty. It was there that Jay put on a small set and I must say, like Rosenberg, I can co-sign for the dude. He’s the truth. Little rough around the edges but I can see him being great very soon. No septor on him though, that was disappointing. More videos of his performance and special bday shout-out after the Jump. Read the rest of this entry »

DJ Franchise and Peter Rosenberg play for a packed house at a RockTheBells Preparty in San Francisco.
FRANCHISE EDIT: A memorable night to say the least. We had the unique opportunity to work with the most unprofessional, drunk, ego-driven, unskilled Promoter (slash wannabe DJ) in my experience. I’ll let Peter tell the story one day. I’ve included my pics as well. Thanks for the fans who showed up and a shout out to Kidz in the Hall who made an appearance.
***UPDATE: Peter told the story. Listen to the morning show. Its the last 5 minutes of the show.

I have had this idea for ages. Just never had a reason or a video camera. If it works in Austrailia, It has got to work in America.
from the cutting room floor.
Any excuse that I can get to post some Lil Wayne, here it is.

Rosenberg and I are teaming up to provide the Bay with some sounds that they have been feenin’ for. Come out to Element Lounge. Taking song requests, so leave a comment at the bottom. Guestlist closes tomorrow at 10pm, so RSVP at going.com. Since this is an “unofficial” party, I recommend all Turtle Lovers (aka Juan Epstein fans) should unofficially wear green. Don’t hate me cuz I’m stylin’ on ya! - Rosenberg.
Although Myspace is old and Facebook is jumping the shark, I do go to a few people’s blogs on Myspace. Pam from the Office is one and Questo is the other. After the jump is there recent postings. Rainn Wilson jumps onto Pam’s blog and Questo breaks down sneakerheads.
UPDATE: FreeJennaNow.com is pretty cool.
Pick it up.
FYI, its on sale this week at Best Buy. Even cheaper on Amazon.
