A-Trak on the Kanye/Princess Diana Tribute Performance
All DJs have been in a similar situation. Maybe not to the extent of 1,000,000 viewers and a world stage but we’ve been there. Needles falling apart, turntable shorting, drunk girls spilling thier drinks on your deck or computer. But, any good DJ will tell ya – YOU DON’T QUIT! You figure out a way and try to make sure no one notices. Props to A-TRak for talking about this. Another gem from 247HH.

LOL, now that’s pressure!
@che – i know. i have had the same issue a million times. luckily its only been 1 or 3 people in the club. that would be my mom and her 2 friends.
Word. The worst is when you get a bit of lint on your needles mid set and it makes that horrible digital noise.
I once had a needle and headshell disassemble and fall apart while playing a record. screws and plastic all over the vinyl. it was tragic looking.
Oh shit, that’s a new one haha. I once was DJing and mid-set I grabbed the crossfader and the fader knob fell off. I don’t know how but the entire crossfader had fallen into the mixer. I had to mix with the input faders for the rest of the night.
I have an awesome story for you where DJ JR-FLO (keys N krates) & I destroyed two Rane mixers by putting Contact Lens solution in them.
Hahahaha. Why do I know that name? Jr Flo? Was he a battle DJ?
yeah. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwjMTce80lw very good dj and better dude.
Ah yeah, I totally remember that dude, sick. My mate P-Money came third that year in the DMCs.
