Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince reunite
“When I say ‘Han’, you say….”
Hancock opens today, so I am excited! Ever since I heard I am Legend and Hancock were being made last year, I’ve been waiting. Will Smith is still someone I look up to and I am big fan of his movies. (Sorry, wes, I know my credibility dropped a few notches with that statement.) At the Hancock party, Jeff and Will reunited to do Summertime & Brand New Funk in my ol’ hometown. Sad that I missed this. Who I am fooling? Even I did still live in LA, I wouldn’t have got invited. RANDOM THOUGHT: I will go on record to say that I am still the only DJ in the Bay (and possibly LA) that I’ve heard play Brand New Funk in a club. Via NR via MB.

oh don’t feel bad..it’s never the ones who really appreciate the stuff who get bigged up…
i mean, i stan it up for Bape/BBC/IC…not one free item in sight…
..guess they’d rather have skinny, cokeheaded models and posers in the joint lol…can’t have it all, can we Fran?
@$, maybe we can’t but i’m gonna try. i got chills watching that video. i grew up to the “He’s the DJ” tape and thought that every hip-hop album should have a sing where the DJ just went off like Jazzy Jeff. Like a solo joint. And I had a whole mental routine to the Brand new funk. I’m still practicing jazzy Jeff scratches to this day!
Duuuuude…
‘NOW TURN IT ALL AROUND!!’
Eghck…
