These kids… I worry
Here is Soulja Boy’s response to Ice-T’s comments that Soula Boy “single-handedly killed hip-hop”. I had to stop if after the first 4 minutes - it was too ridiculous. Ice-T is not known for being soft with his words but the video shows that Soulja Boy is completely dumb to his place in hip-hop. Next up is the Kidz In the Hall being interviewed after a Paid Dues show. Its a pretty boring conversation until they get into the Douchebag part. Watch and see..
My immediate feelings after watching these videos reminded me of seeing the difference between Avon & Stringer versus Marlo and the Corner boys. It was just a slap-in-the-face - a difference of attitude about hip-hop, paid dues (how ironic for Kids in the Hall) and enititlement. Soulja Boy believes that he actually accomplished something in hip-hop. But, he also believes hip-hop is about making money and not a culture. Kidz in the Hall (who I happen to like the current remix) think they are OGz cause they dropped a brick of an album 2 years ago. This type of arrogance, entitlement, and lack of self-awareness just bothers me. I am now more focused to avoid douchebags and do better hip-hop gigs. I pray for Soulja Boy’s safety. (Both videos swiped from Bol.)

just a pat on the back or as jgilla calls it “a self-suck” - this is my 400th post.
