UNI – A Love Supreme 2.0

On my drive down south to LA and SD last weekend, I got a chance to listen to alot of the mixtapes that I missed or quickly scanned in 2009. I had Tanya Morgan’s Brooklynatti, Wale’s Back To The Feature, J. Cole’s The Warm Up, Cool Kids’ Gone Fishing and UNI’s A Love Supreme. So Far Gone was by far my fav album or mixtape in 2009 but you after spending hours listening to those mixtape, I have to endorse UNI’s A Love Supreme as the best of the lot. Nothing against the other mixtapes but ALS felt more complete, emotional, and truly thought-out. And Ro Blvd was a beast as a producer. So when I saw this on NR, I had to make sure I let you all know, too. Check for it on March 9th. And if UNI is EVER in your town, go see them. Don’t hesitate. One of the few hip-hop acts that are actually performers, too! Thanks to everyone that came out to DANCE RIGHT, THE CROSBY, & BAR DYNAMITE last weekend. Major shout out to MFG, Dan, Roams, Chris, Trackstar, and the homie, DJ Beatnick. Best weekend in a long while.
