Before The Kingdom.
Recently I Netflixed The Kingdom by Peter Berg starring Jamie Foxx. The movie was okay, but what really left an impression on me was the opening sequence. In the four short minutes it takes for the credits to roll, we are educated on the history of Saudi Arabia, its internal conflict with oil and it’s fragile relation with The United States the subsequent link to 9/11. I am a sucker for good design and typography in movie intros, but with this one I even stopped the movie just to see the intro again.
