Before the Music Dies – (Movie)

If you have been wondering to yourself recently why music (particularly hip-hop) is so crappy, I’ve got two things to say to you: 1) Music has always been crappy. In our “old man status” and selective memory of our past, we tend to only remember the good music/singles. BAck in the day, there were still very few good albums. (Did Gangstarr REALLY EVER have a full CLASSIC album? And you know I love Gangstarr!) 2) Watch Before the Music Dies to get a sense how corporations and radio have changed the game then it being rechanged by the internet. You’ll be 10 points smarter if you do. Paying it forward by the geniuses at Blind I. P.S. Its over an hour long so make sure you have some time in front of your computer.
