The Avon Barksdale Story (trailer)
Wood Harris, who plays Avon on The Wire, interviews and narrates a documentary about the “real” Avon Barksdale. A straight to DVD release, I think it would be cool to learn some history about Barksdale but somehow, he looks and acts too much like a ex-drug addict for me to think he was as hardbody (II) as The Wire’s Avon was. It was cool to see glimpses of the names used like with bodie and stringer bell… but that about it. it looks like a chance for him to glorify and relive glory days. and how is this guy out? thank you justice system. lol
i know! i thought the same thing. how is he still out if he was so notorious? someone online said he looked like a drug dealer version of cracked-out Bobby Brown. I’ll download it when it comes out.
