Bruce Weber x Nawlins

World-renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber turns his camera towards TheReal in a special photo-editorial on the Big-Easy. The genesis of the project is of course the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina and the flood of incompetence that followed; but the focus of this special project ended of being the amazing vitality and resilience Bruce found in New Orleans.
In the sixty page spread in this current issue of W Magazine, Bruce mixes street photography, profiles of local icons, and complimentary fashion shots that hides a subtle, cryptic narrative. Sample the images on-line but I recommend purchasing this issue for the photography, and then impress your girlfriend with your new-found appreciation for W. If nothing else, get into it for New Orleans.
