Nike’s designer geniuses, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, explain the design, concepts. and fits of the new Jordan 2010. Although, I can appreciate the level of thoguht and workmanship of the shoe, the 2010 just reminds of some Payless-type show (XJ-900, anybody?). Great vid and promotion but not feeling this shoe this time around.

Big Boi addresses his recent spotting at a Sneaker Pimps show where he was wearing fake Jordans. He didn’t know and in this video, he admits to that fact. As a sneakerhead, I constantly hate on fake Jordans. I think its just derives from the fact that I got duped on eBay for $400 on some Jordan 4s 6 years ago and haven’t let go of that anger. Big Boi is like most sneaker heads where we didn’t start buying shoes until we actually had a salary. And by that time, we are making up for lost time. Glad he admitted his naivety and just said, “move on”. Thanks to Gotty & Co. for the inspiration to post this.

$port, great producer and Way More Fresher representative, was in Phoenix last week for the beatmaker convention known as the One Stop Shop (jealous!). While he was there, he was able to sneak an interview with Jayson Mayden, intern-turned-Senior Designer at Jordan. Read some cool insight he gave about the design of the 2009 Jordans (shout out to all industrial designers!) and his love for hip-hop. I’ll post the full interview after the jump because sometimes all 18 of the KTL readers can be lazy but you should check out WMF after you’re done.
True words. I watched this video and pictured Dilla, Primo, Biggie, Jay, Nas, Rakim, Chuck D, Jazzy Jeff, & Q-Bert talking to today Producers, MCs/Rappers, and DJs.

..or the Jordan 2009s or Jordan 2k9. Whatever you call them, I think this is the first Jordan I thought was fresh since the Jordan Stealth 20s. Maybe its just that I’ve been a sucker for patent leather after 11s. Mostly all leather with a fabric side for foot breathing. Not much Jordan logo or words on this one. I think just on the tongue and shoe lace tips. Due to be released in February 2009, I think I may miss the baby’s delivery for these pair. Swiped from SF.
