Nas – Live at Hunter College

Nas had a rare appearance at Hunter College last Friday where he spoke then performed for the crowd there. Its a late pass on this one but I thought it was well worth it, esp for Nas #1 fan, JGILLA. Thanks to YN for the “One Mic” footage and Eskay has video of his performance of the “forbidden playlist“. HA!

Rock The Bells ‘09 Line Up

RTB mainstay, Supernatural, freestyles the whole ‘09 lineup at the Key Club in LA.  Pretty impressive – the freestyle, not the lineup.  I don’t think Rock The Bells can outdo the year with Rage Against The Machine.  Maybe I’m just getting old and stingy with my time and money.  IF you didn’t catch all the names in the freestyle, I got them after the jump.

Jay-Z – Roc Boys (Live at the Palladium)

Jay-Z brought alot of attention to LA last night by being the first performer at the newly renovated, historic Palladium. I very much wanted to go but with a upcoming move, birthday party, baby, and new dog – the funds weren’t allowing me for a jet-set night to LA for the show. But I do thank Dan & Justin for trying. Anyways, King Toan decided to be a good friend and reminded me what I was missing by calling me from the concert. I could make out Roc Boys on the phone (i think) and decided to post the videos. More info and videos at Nah Right, Miss Info, Wale/Dan, & OGHH. The next one, I’ll go to the next one…

BONUS : Coldplay – Lost (Remix feat Jay-Z)

Catching a moment…

After seeing the VH1 Hip-Hop honors on Monday night, I just got in a reflective mood and wished I could be at some of those great moments in hip-hop history. Especially, those that occurred on stage. Luckily for the true fans, someone was good enough to sneak in and catch this moment where Jay shocked the hip-hop nation by bringing out Esco. Leave a comment on other good moments on stage you can think of. Then we can do some Youtube crate digging!
