Smirnoff and Cornerstone Promotions are promoting their new Smirnoff Signature Mix drinks. For this campaign Common and Just Blaze will remake “The Light,” Q-tip and Cool n Dre will redo Tribe’s “Midnight,” and KRS-One and DJ Premier will make a new version of “Criminal Minded.” The latter is the one I am most excited about. Nike and Hip-Hop (via Just Blaze and Primo) were a good team, let’s see if Smirnoff can reach that standard.
All of the artists will be perform their classics live at the Smirnoff/Cornerstone launch party on Feb, 26th. The actual remakes will be available as a free download on Smirnoff.com later. Stay tuned for more info. Speaking of info, this was all due to Miss Info. One day we will make her blogroll. (hint, hint)

Man, i found this old Death Row (circa 1994) footage after getting a glimpse of it on the VH1 Hip-Hop honors. Just dope flows and lets you see how ill is Snoop off the top of the dome. This is true freestyling, none of the practiced, written rhymes on Rap City or 106.
