One of my favorites dudes in hip-hop (II), Bobbito speaks about his show on MTV (see post below) and balling in NY as a kid. This dude is a great storyteller and is up there with Fab 5 Freddy as a curator of hip-hop. Mad Respect.
So, I got caught up in the hype and watched the LOST Final Season premiere. The little recap before the show was helpful but I can imagine true LOST fans hating on the abridged version of the series. I would be if I had been watching the show for 5 years to see it summed up in 45 minutes. LOST, along with 24, is one of those TV series I am waiting to end so I can netflix the whole series and see it as a whole story. Gotta admit though, the premiere had me making the same “huh?” face I had for 5 hours when I watched Season 1 on a flight to New York. Now for the picture, Nike endorses LOST by making a Dharma Initiative shoe. Check out the other pics at Hypebeast. I thought it was pretty clever.
Nike’s designer geniuses, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, explain the design, concepts. and fits of the new Jordan 2010. Although, I can appreciate the level of thoguht and workmanship of the shoe, the 2010 just reminds of some Payless-type show (XJ-900, anybody?). Great vid and promotion but not feeling this shoe this time around.

I don’t know who this kid is, but this video of him visiting the Nike campus in Oregon. Where he is going to be making a custom aw77 “worlds best hoodie.” The video is awesome to watch.
I will watch any Nike commercial. I will still buy New Balance over Nikes’. I will watch any movie with “Gbenga Akinnagbe“, “The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3″. These things are constant in my life.
Nike put up a dope site that is an interactive pop-up book of all the Jordan shoes and some dope moments in the year that the shoe was released. For J0rdan heads, this is a good little trivia quiz for oneself to see how much you actually know about the man and the shoes. Cool fact is that they plan on releasing a white version of each show to commemorate the 25th edition. All the shoes at the site are in the all-white versions. Finally got some pics from the Know The Ledge X Holy Grail Consignment Drive and Party. It was a fun day with shoes, hip-hop, and love filling the air. Thanks to Eddie and Chris from GuerillaOne for the drinks. We apprecaite seeing Starsky and DUB Magazine represent for us. The Holy Grail got dozens and dozens of shoes that day and the consigners were not mad at the 90/10 deal! I appreciate Apollo Kids for lacing me up with the dope shirts. And thanks to all the attendees and people listening to the livestream online on Sunday!

Know The Ledge is hosting a special event in Los Angeles on July 19th to help LA sneaker store, The Holy Grail. As you may have seen on the news, The Holy Grail was looted of all but 20 of its sneakers the evening that the LA Lakers won the championship. Not one to sit and rest in self-pity, The Holy Grail has picked up from where they left off and aggressively worked in the following days after the Lakers Looting to rebuild the store and reopen for business. Among the many that offered support and help, Know The Ledge pulled together an event that allows sneaker addicts to consign their shoes at a great rate, receive free giveaways, and enjoy the spirit of hip-hop and celebration on July 19th. Come join us from 12-6pm for the gathering of sneaker addicts and rebuilding of a great LA store!
