I have alot of respect for Bobbito as many in the hip-hop/sneaker world do. I mean he does it all! How could you not? Well, I read a very insightful gem of an interview at Local Cut that discusses the difference between sneaker collectors and connoisseurs, DJing on vinyl, and crazy word association. I apologize to Kool Bob Love personally for missing the Wonderfull party in SF this last weekend. I usually go but I had a DJ gigs. Gotta pay those baby bottle bills.
Wale FINALLY got the Nike Boots video out to his fans!
From Walemusic.com… “Official music video directed by Chris Robinson. Cameos from Kid Capri, Bun B, 9th Wonder, Young Guru, Raheem DeVaughn, Young Chris and Neef, Grafh, UCB, Tabi Bonney and Beat Your Feet Kings.” I think Eskay said it best - “This has to be some kind of record for length of time between the release of a song to the release of the video.” In any sense, I am happy to hear and see this song get some renewed energy.

Took the weekend off with Halloween and all but now we are back on our grind! What a great way to start the morning with sneakers and a hot woman. This Nike Lebron spot is killing it. Almost as much as the Beyonce video. Get your morning started right!

I held off on posting this for a few days b/c I saw that it was getting alot of love on the internets when it first dropped. But like many things on the internet, it dies after a few days (sometimes hours) of being posted somewhere. So by delaying its post here I hope to give this interview some longevity. Why would I do that? B/c in this video gives you some great insight to Jay-Z, Hip-hop’s roots, and why rap is not hip-hop. He’s got some dope kicks to grab your immediate attention. Plus in Part 2, Clark tells us about respecting your history and why you should make good decisions. Part 2 is after the jump. Much props to NHTVSN for the vids.
“Players do what they want to do, suckers do what they can.” - DJ Clark Kent
FRANCHISE EDIT: NHTVSN took down Part 2 of the interview. I heard they want to do a formal launch of it since not that many people knew Part 2 existed. I’ll post it when I get it.

I am really feeling the Air Yeezy’s. They are ugly, tall, and remind of Ripley’s shoes in Aliens but I kinda like them. Sorta like the feeling when I look at Penelope Cruz - she’s not really that cute but something about her makes her adorable. This is the Tinker Hatfield editions - you should know who he is already. The laser engraving on the strap was a dope touch. Thanks to SF for the heads-up!

UK only for now, no talk about availability in the US. But the idea is that you sms nike a picture that you want to make a shoe out of. And it will pick two colors and then make that shoe for you. Check out the video below.
My neighborhood in San Francisco is crazy with soccer this week because of the current EuroCup tournament. Every bar and restaurant in the Lower Haight is crowed with fans all around the clock. Well, the buzz is inescapable and has made a fan out of me. In that spirit I wanted to share this awesome Nike Ad that debuted several months ago but I wanted to make sure everyone gets to see it. Soundtrack by the Eagles Of Death Metal.

There is an Air Trainer and Air Force 1 in there too! Drops in the first week of July. July is going to be an expensive month. Click here for the pics.
