I’ll be down in LA for the weekend for work but got a DJ gig in Santa Ana for OBEY’s Friday night at the Crosby. Small place but filled with good times. Playing a west coast set for my peeps. its been awhile since I’ve played a set of strictly gangsta ish.
No cover or dress code but sure it will be packed. More info here. Hope to see some of the KTL fam there!

Know The Ledge will be representing the OBEY posse hard this weekend. Tonight, I’ll be DJing the opening reception and private afterparty for Shepard Fairey’s solo exhibition - “Duality for Humanity“. With over 100 pieces, the public will have a chance to catch the exhibition from now until Oct. 4th. Tomorrow night, the KTL crew will be at the Party for Change event at MILK in San Francisco. With Shepard and Z-Trip on the decks, you know its going to a party. I got booted by Platurn but whatever, I’m still climbing up the ladder. Hope to see you on Sat Night!!! I get to sport my new Obama shirt.

J-Gilla sent me an article today about the Obama X Obey posters that have gotten national attention at this point. The article questions whether Shepard Fairey is hurting or helping the Obama cause. They also state that Obama himself has given the posters his stamp of approval. It was kinda cool to see some national attention/perspective from someone that is evidently outside the bubble of the campaign and art world. (Source: Dailypress)
