In Collaboration with designer Domeau & Peres, Pharrell tries his hand in creating couture furniture for a gallery show in Paris. Though the chairs will be available in multiple colors, only 4 of each color will be sold…thankfully.
Possible names for the furniture set: Pharrell Phurniture, Almost A Good Idea.
$port, the legendary producer and fellow blog homie at WMF, was on his myspace grind to let us know that Kevin Booker who was signed to the Pharrell’s Ice Cream label is no longer with them. Seems like a good split for him though. But I completely agree with $port, that the Neptunes need to handle their artrist management better. To lose both Kelis and Clipse is not a good look, son. Dogg Pound - Cheat (feat. Pharrell Williams)
Today, we are giving props to Questo. The most recognizable and fan favorite of the The Roots crew has made hip-hop an art to be studied and envied. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him DJ at several clubs in LA and the Bay and he puts on a show that gets you feeling the music and learning something. Which I feel is exactly the intent of hip-hop. (Sidenote: Questo dispalyed his white Serato Box recently at Santa Clara). Check out his blog for great commentary on his projects and OKP heads always know where to find him. Questlove X Pharrell & The Yessirs - Out of My Mind
This is the new N.E.R.D. song. Timbo did some of the mixing and tweaking of the song - just like Kanye with “Stronger”. I think its a creative and innovative song and now my most hummed song after “Falsetto”. Played it in my set on Saturday night. Cleared the floor - not the reaction I was hoping for. I guess I have to wait for people to catch on.
I know some of you are salty about the “Success” video post, but this one is the real deal. Still no word when the album will be out. They even have the a lil’ Thom Yorke!
