This is a clever video from the infamous R. Kelly song, Real Talk. (Dan, I was so close to playing this at the OBEY parties in SF.) Think you’ll at least have a smile. Speaking of things real, you should pay some attention to Rosenberg’s Real Late with De La Soul. Very excited about this Nike/De La project. Thanks to Fucs and Peter for the links. And if you missed the Juan Epstein with Large Professor - you all the orphans in the WHOLE WORLD! I don’t believe in God, I believe in science.

OH! I was not going to post this but after listening to Cipha & Rosenberg this morning, I had to. Now, if you are new to R. Kelly’s speaking abilities, I advise that you watch the DVD commentary of Trapped in the Closet. It’s classic. There are some classic quotes in the video above. While the rest of the world is crashing financially and we have some racist, out-of-touch people vying for the presidency, BET upholds its programming reputation by supplying with us entertaining nonsense to help people of color avoid reality.

Probably the best blog on the interwebs right now The Chicago Sun Times. An up to date news source on whats going on in R. Kelly’s Rape case.
Today the jury was given a jury questionnaire. One of the juror’s responded with, “Child pornography is immoral, people,” he began, reasonably enough. But he continued, “R. Kelly may have led the Taliban to attacking us on 9-11, but you can’t PROVE it.”
That juror was immediately booted from the jury. While Defense attorney Sam Adam joked the man would have been “a perfect juror.”

Matt Mundy, guest contributor to TSS, gives an insightful breakdown of the “Speedin’” and “I’m So Hood Remix” videos. They both share odd cameos, Khaled and Ross. And to be honest, its my hate for DJ Khaled that really sparked my interest in what Mundy had to say and I was not disappointed. “We make movies” and “We the best” are prob the most ignorant quotes of the past decade for hip-hop. But I gotta admit, I do a pretty good, 3-minute imitation of Khaled when I have a few coronas in me. So click and enjoy!
Words cannot describe how excited I am about this. If you don’t know, go rent, or youtube, or download “Trapped in a Closet.” Then you will know the greatness of R. Kelly.
I thought that this video was a parody, but then it became a reality. R. Kelly is a genius.
