5 Days of The Roots… Day 2

Today, we are giving props to Questo. The most recognizable and fan favorite of the The Roots crew has made hip-hop an art to be studied and envied. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him DJ at several clubs in LA and the Bay and he puts on a show that gets you feeling the music and learning something. Which I feel is exactly the intent of hip-hop. (Sidenote: Questo dispalyed his white Serato Box recently at Santa Clara). Check out his blog for great commentary on his projects and OKP heads always know where to find him. Today is your lucky day b/c I wanted to make sure you got their Legendary EP. I;ve talked to a few friends and it was surprising they didn’t have it. I wish I had this library. Its up there in competition with Malachi’s basement. Questo is a hip-hop figure that I have a lot of respect for and always impressed with his hip-hop knowledge from a musician’s POV. Plus, I know he is a hip-hop nerd…just like us…who collects random DVDs, gets hype about our fav cartoons getting turned into movies, and always looking for a remix that no one else has.
