Nike’s designer geniuses, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, explain the design, concepts. and fits of the new Jordan 2010. Although, I can appreciate the level of thoguht and workmanship of the shoe, the 2010 just reminds of some Payless-type show (XJ-900, anybody?). Great vid and promotion but not feeling this shoe this time around.

I am really feeling the Air Yeezy’s. They are ugly, tall, and remind of Ripley’s shoes in Aliens but I kinda like them. Sorta like the feeling when I look at Penelope Cruz – she’s not really that cute but something about her makes her adorable. This is the Tinker Hatfield editions - you should know who he is already. The laser engraving on the strap was a dope touch. Thanks to SF for the heads-up!

ESPN did a small video on Jordans called “The Sneaker That Changed It All”. Dope cameos. Not as good as Just for Kicks but cool to see this on ESPN. (Source: SF)

Tinker Hatfield, the genius/designer of many classic Jordans (and arguably the best shoes ever), has a dope interview at Complex Magazine. He has some interesting words about BAPE and hipsters. Full Interview after the jump…
