Charles Hamilton = “Dukie”
Since we are on this Wire trip today…
Whenever I see Charles Hamilton on the webs or MTV Jams, I can’t help but think he’s hip-hop’s “Dukie”. Am I alone on this?
“Brooklyn Girls” has grown on me over the last few months and the hook really is infectious. I have never heard a rapper whose constipation-flow was so hypnotizing. (Really… he sounds like he raps with a tough one coming out!) But after seeing him online freestyling and hearing his tough childhood of being poor & homeless, I couldn’t stop to think, he’s like “Dukie”. He’s smart, broke, doesn’t fit in, likes computers, wears the same clothes… Maybe its just a physical resemblance. Video after the jump to see what you think.
The question I pose then is, if Charles Hamilton is Duquan; which up and coming rappers are Namond, Michael and Randy? KTL community – share your thoughts.
